Native port of Super Mario 64 for Windows, Linux, macOS and Android, from the HarbourMasters team. It supports US and Japanese ROMs and you need your own copy.
Ghostship is the HarbourMasters port of Super Mario 64, from the same family as Ship of Harkinian. It is not an emulator and it does not include any copyrighted assets: you must provide a supported copy of the game.
It supports four rendering APIs (DirectX 11 on Windows, OpenGL, Metal on macOS and Vulkan when the driver supports it) and mods. On Android, the app checks your ROM, keeps it in its own storage and generates the data on the device, with no PC step. There is also a Nintendo Switch version.
Ghostship.exe and pick your ROM; on Linux, run Ghostship.appimage (you may need chmod +x); on macOS, run Ghostship. If your computer does not meet the requirements, you do not have the exact version the port asks for, or you prefer the classic route, you can play the original with a console emulator: see emulators and its install and setup guide.
