We respect copyright and act on the claims we receive.
GigaROM does not host files. We hold no copies of games, BIOS files or software on our servers. What we publish are informational entries and links to third-party services.
This matters for your claim: we cannot delete a file stored on another site. What we can do, and do, is remove the link and the entry from GigaROM. If you want the file itself gone, the claim must also go to whoever hosts it.
Write to [[email protected]] with the subject "Content removal", or use the contact form. To act on it we need:
identifying details.
are several, list them all.
for a rights holder, on whose behalf.
by the rights holder, its agent or the law.
rights holder or authorised to act for them.
within 7 business days at the latest**, and confirm it to you.
We do not require a prior court order to act. If the claim is complete and reasonable, we remove first and discuss afterwards if needed.
Write to the same address explaining why you believe the removal was wrong, including your contact details and the address of the affected page. We review the case and reply. If the original claim does not hold up, we restore the content.
A false or bad-faith claim can carry legal liability for whoever files it. Before sending one, check that the page really affects your work: some of our pages are purely informational and link to no file at all.
