The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time PC and Android Port (Ship of Harkinian)
Native port of Ocarina of Time (Nintendo 64) for Windows, Linux and macOS, plus a community adaptation for Android. It does not include the game: you need your own compatible copy.
Ship of Harkinian is a community port of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nintendo 64) that runs natively on PC, with no emulator. It is developed by the HarbourMasters team on top of libultraship, a custom library that replaces the console's own with graphics, sound and input layers for current computers.
It does not include any copyrighted assets: you must provide a supported copy of the game, which the program uses to generate its data files. A separate Android adaptation exists, maintained by another community member (the Shipwright-Android project).
What you need
Your original copy: Your own supported copy of Ocarina of Time. You can check your dump with the official checker (ship.equipment) or compare its sha1 hash with the repository's list. The project does not include game data.
Windows (zip file), Linux (AppImage) or macOS (app).
The project's README does not publish hardware requirements.
Android (community adaptation): Android 7.0 or higher with OpenGL ES 3.0 or higher. The project itself marks it as "probably" supported and has tested it on Android 15.
How to install and run it
Check your copy of the game with the official checker.
Download the latest release from the project's Releases section (the "Go to the official project" button).
On Windows, extract the zip and run soh.exe. On Linux, run soh.appimage (you may need chmod +x) and pick your copy when asked. On macOS, open soh.app and pick your copy.
On Android, install the APK from the Shipwright-Android releases page, grant the file permissions, answer "Yes" when asked to generate the data file and select your copy.
Current limitations
The Android version is a community adaptation: its latest release (9.0.2P2) is from July 2025, older than the official port (9.3.1, October 2026).
On Android, if the game closes at launch, delete the SOH folder and let it set up again; if it shows a black screen, delete imgui.ini and do not raise MSAA above 1.
On Android, some controllers may not map every button.
Port or emulator?
If your computer does not meet the requirements, you do not have the exact version the port asks for, or you prefer the classic route, you can play the original with a console emulator:
see emulators and its install and setup guide.
