How to use a port, step by step

Have your original copy

Each project asks for the exact game version it supports (region and revision). The page tells you which one.

Download from the official source

Use the “Go to the official project” button on the page. Never download ports from sites that bundle the game.

Install and pick your copy

The installer extracts the assets from your copy and leaves the game ready to run on your PC.

Native ports FAQ

What is a native port?
It is a version of a console game that runs directly on your device (PC or Android, depending on the project), with no emulator. In the community projects we list here, the game program is rebuilt from a decompilation or reimplementation and given its own graphics, sound and input layer.
Do I need the original game?
Yes. The projects we list include no game data: you need your own copy (disc or image of the version each project specifies) to extract the assets. Each page tells you which version it requires.
Does GigaROM host these ports?
No. We only inform and link to each project's official page or repository. Always download from there and check the license and instructions before installing anything.
Is a port better than an emulator?
It depends. A port often offers higher resolution, higher frame rates and new options, but each project is independent, may be incomplete and almost always supports a single version of the game. An emulator is more general and works with many titles.
How often is this information updated?
Each page shows the date we verified its status on the official source. These projects change often, so we review the pages periodically; if you spot something outdated, let us know through the contact page.
Notice: GigaROM does not host these ports or the games' files, and is not affiliated with the projects' authors or the rights holders. We link to the official pages; check the license and instructions there before installing anything.
