A static recompilation of Donkey Kong Country (SNES, USA v1.0) as a native app for Windows and macOS, with optional widescreen and a settings menu. You need your ROM.
DKC1Recomp is a static recompilation of Donkey Kong Country (SNES, USA v1.0) into a native desktop application, built on the snesrecomp framework and following the DKC2Recomp project as a template. Its status is “playable bring-up”: all game code is statically generated, there are playable Windows and native macOS hosts, continuous audio and an opt-in 342x224 widescreen presentation.
The Windows releases include a dark menu with graphics options (CRT, 16:10 and 16:9), remapping, an Assist mode, music and mods, including the optional Dixie Kong Country variant. The project does not include the ROM: GigaROM hosts neither the port nor the game and the download is from the official page.
