An unofficial native recompilation of Skate 3 (Xbox 360) for Windows, Linux and macOS, with its own Direct3D 12 and Vulkan renderer. You need your own copy of the game.
Skate 3: Recompiled is an unofficial native recompilation of the Xbox 360 version of Skate 3. Since version 2.0.0 the game uses a native renderer built directly on Direct3D 12 and Vulkan instead of emulating the Xbox 360 GPU; according to the author it delivers more than twice the frame rate at about a quarter of the GPU power draw, and on Apple Silicon the uplift is close to 10x.
The project does not include game files: you must supply those from your own legal Xbox 360 copy. GigaROM hosts neither the port nor the game; the download comes from the official page. The author warns the native renderer is early and that the game has not been tested all the way through.
Skate3Recomp-Windows.zip (or the Linux or macOS build) from the releases page (“Go to official project” button) and extract it to a folder you control.skate3.exe and press “Select ISO” to choose your legal copy of the game.If your computer does not meet the requirements, you do not have the exact version the port asks for, or you prefer the classic route, you can play the original with a Microsoft Xbox 360 emulator: xenia and its install and setup guide.
