Beta Nintendo 64 Needs your original copy Verified 25/10/2026

WWF No Mercy PC Port (WWF No Mercy: Recompiled)

WWF No Mercy (Nintendo 64) statically recompiled as a native PC port, in beta. It only accepts the USA Rev 1 ROM and you need your own copy.

Windows

What it is

WWF No Mercy: Recompiled uses N64Recomp to statically recompile WWF No Mercy into a native PC port, on N64ModernRuntime with RT64 as the rendering engine. It is the fifth project in the AKI wrestling recompilation family. It is not an emulator and it does not include any copyrighted assets: you must provide a supported copy of the game.

According to the README, the game boots, renders at high resolution, plays music and sound effects, takes keyboard and gamepad input in menus and matches, rumbles and saves the cartridge flash memory automatically. It has a mods menu that installs .nrm mods and many ROM hacks run as patch mods.

What you need

Your original copy: Your own ROM of the USA Rev 1 version (SHA-1 91CEE3D096F4A76644D8B35B9AEAD6448909ABD1). The original USA release (Rev 0) and other regions are not accepted. The project does not include game data.
  • Windows (saves are stored in %LOCALAPPDATA%\NoMercyRecompiled\saves).
  • A GPU supporting Direct3D 12 or Vulkan; ray tracing at high quality with 60/120 fps is very demanding on mid-range GPUs.
  • The README does not publish further hardware requirements.

How to install and run it

  1. Check that your ROM is the USA Rev 1 with the hash given.
  2. Download the latest release from the project's releases page (the "Go to the official project" button).
  3. Open the program and give it your ROM: it only accepts that version.
  4. Mods are installed from Settings → Mods. With a portable.txt file next to the executable, saves and config stay in the same folder.

Current limitations

  • It is a beta: the first launch may pause briefly while shaders compile.
  • Only the USA Rev 1 ROM is accepted; other dumps are rejected by design.
  • Ray tracing, frame interpolation, the CRT filter and HDR are experimental.

Port or emulator?

If your computer does not meet the requirements, you do not have the exact version the port asks for, or you prefer the classic route, you can play the original with a console emulator: see emulators and its install and setup guide.
