A mod that lets you play Warcraft II with the Stratagus engine: it looks and sounds the same and plays very close to the original, with slight StarCraft-like enhancements. You need the data from your Warcraft II copy.
Wargus is a Warcraft II mod that allows you to play it with the Stratagus engine. The game looks and sounds exactly like Warcraft II and its gameplay is very close to the original, with slight enhancements more similar to StarCraft. On Linux and Windows it is installed following the instructions at stratagus.com, and for macOS you can download an artifact from GitHub Actions.
To play on macOS you first need to extract the game data from your Warcraft II installer: the built-in extractor is not working correctly for now, though you can use a third-party script. You need your own copy of the game. GigaROM hosts neither the mod nor the game; the download comes from the official page.
If your computer does not meet the requirements, you do not have the exact version the port asks for, or you prefer the classic route, you can play the original with a console emulator: see emulators and its install and setup guide.
