An open-source bullet hell shooter set in the Touhou Project universe, for Windows, Linux and macOS. Unlike other ports, it needs no files from an original game.

What it is

Taisei Project is a free, open-source fan-made game of the “danmaku” or bullet hell genre, set in the Touhou Project universe. It is available for Windows, Linux and macOS; the latest published release is 1.4.6.

It is a complete, standalone game, so you do not need any files from another game. GigaROM does not host the game; the download comes from the official page.

Your original copy: No files from another game needed. The project does not include game data.

How to install and run it

  1. Download the latest release from the official page (“Go to official project” button).
  2. Install or extract it depending on your system.
  3. Open Taisei Project and start playing.

Current limitations

  • The repository’s license is not a standard one: check the license file.
  • It is a demanding game, as is typical of the genre.
