A native port of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike, a continuation of a matching decompilation of the PS2 version. It is neither emulation nor a recomp, and includes modern rollback netcode. It needs your PS2 copy.
3SX is a native port of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike, a continuation of 3s-decomp, a matching decompilation of the PS2 version. It is neither a recomp nor emulation: it is native C code running directly on your hardware. Its vision is to bring first-class support for Windows, macOS and Linux, fix the arcade balance regressions introduced in the PS2 version for a truly arcade-perfect experience (work in progress) and leverage GekkoNet for fast, modern, cross-platform rollback netcode. For version 1.0 it aims for a stable experience, easy access to online play and auto-updates.
It requires a legally obtained copy of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike or Street Fighter Anniversary Collection for PlayStation 2; a startup wizard guides you through providing it (or you can manually copy /THIRD/SF33RD.AFS to the resources folder). GigaROM hosts neither the port nor the game; the download comes from the official page.
/THIRD/SF33RD.AFS to the resources folder. If your computer does not meet the requirements, you do not have the exact version the port asks for, or you prefer the classic route, you can play the original with a console emulator: see emulators and its install and setup guide.
