A static recompilation of Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon (and soon Goemon’s Great Adventure) into a native port with N64: Recompiled and RT64: intact N64 effects, high framerate, widescreen and Linux and Steam Deck support.
Goemon 64: Recompiled uses N64: Recompiled to statically recompile Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon (and soon Goemon’s Great Adventure) into a native port with many new features and enhancements. It uses RT64 as the rendering engine. Neither the repository nor its releases contain assets: the original game is required.
Features include plug and play (you provide your North American copy of the game in the main menu and it loads the assets from it, with no separate extraction), fully intact N64 effects, easy-to-use menus for mouse, controller or keyboard, high framerate, widescreen and ultrawide, additional control options, low input lag, instant load times, and Linux and Steam Deck support. It requires a GPU with Direct3D 12.0, Vulkan 1.2 or Metal (macOS 13 or later) and a CPU with SSE4.1 (or any ARM64). There are builds for Windows, Linux and macOS. GigaROM hosts neither the port nor any ROM; the download comes from the official page.
If your computer does not meet the requirements, you do not have the exact version the port asks for, or you prefer the classic route, you can play the original with a console emulator: see emulators and its install and setup guide.
