Mega Man X4 from PlayStation recompiled for Windows and Linux, with two-player co-op (X and Zero) locally or over netplay. You need the original USA disc.
Mega Man X4 Recompiled runs PlayStation’s Mega Man X4 on Windows and Linux. Version 1.0.11 is a stable public beta that adds two-player co-op: X and Zero play at once in the same campaign, on one computer or over netplay from the launcher. Player 1 keeps the story and permanent progress and Player 2 joins as the other hero.
It offers a unified or split camera, stacked or side-by-side HUD, and an optional mod with fan-subtitled Japanese videos. The project includes OpenBIOS, so a separate BIOS is not required. GigaROM hosts neither the port nor the game; the download comes from the official page.

If your computer does not meet the requirements, you do not have the exact version the port asks for, or you prefer the classic route, you can play the original with a console emulator: see emulators and its install and setup guide.
