A modern Doom source port, a continuation of ZDoom and GZDoom, with high-resolution graphics, dynamic lighting, 3D floors, OpenGL and Vulkan, and extensive mod support.
UZDoom is a modern, feature-rich source port of the classic Doom. It continues the work of ZDoom and GZDoom and extends the original engine with high-resolution graphics, dynamic lighting, 3D floors, modern OpenGL and Vulkan renderers and extensive mod support. It is free and open-source software maintained by a community of developers and enthusiasts, and its credits thank id Software, Marisa Heit (ZDoom) and Christoph Oelckers (GZDoom).
It does not include the commercial game’s data: you need the IWAD from your copy of Doom or a free one such as Freedoom. GigaROM hosts neither the port nor the game; the download comes from the official page.
If your computer does not meet the requirements, you do not have the exact version the port asks for, or you prefer the classic route, you can play the original with a console emulator: see emulators and its install and setup guide.
