WindowsLinuxmacOS

What it is

OpenRA is a free real-time strategy engine supporting early Westwood classics. Its mods include a reimagining of Command & Conquer: Red Alert, Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn and Dune 2000, with updated gameplay (attack-move, unit veterancy, fog of war), online play with mods and custom maps, campaigns with new objectives and difficulties and an SDK to create new strategy games.

The project clarifies that EA has not endorsed and does not support it. It runs natively on Windows, macOS and Linux. GigaROM hosts neither the engine nor the games; the download comes from the official page.

Port or emulator?

If your computer does not meet the requirements, you do not have the exact version the port asks for, or you prefer the classic route, you can play the original with a console emulator: see emulators and its install and setup guide.
