Download Yuzu: Nintendo Switch Emulator for Android

Yuzu for Android is the mobile version of the Nintendo Switch emulator. It works best on high-end phones. You need the prod.keys file and the firmware from a Nintendo Switch, plus the game files.

Important: Yuzu's development stopped in March 2024 and it no longer receives official updates.

Requirements Yuzu on Android

• A 64-bit Android phone or tablet with Vulkan support.
• A high-end processor (Snapdragon 8-series chips perform best) and, as a guide, 8 GB of RAM or more.
• Enough free storage for games and cache.
• prod.keys and firmware files from your console.
• Games in NSP or XCI format.

How to install it step by step

1. Download the APK with the button on this page.
2. Allow installation from external sources when Android asks, then install the APK.
3. Open the app and import prod.keys and the firmware from the initial settings.
4. Select the folder where you keep your games.
5. Tap a game in the list to start it.

Recommended settings

• Graphics: use Vulkan and lower the internal resolution if you get stutter.
• Controls: use the on-screen touch controls or connect a Bluetooth gamepad.
• Performance: close other apps and avoid battery-saver mode.

Common problems

• The game runs very slowly: lower the resolution and try a less demanding title.
• Keys not recognised: re-import prod.keys and the firmware.
• The phone gets hot: reduce graphics settings or play shorter sessions.
