Download Eden: Nintendo Switch Emulator for Windows

Eden is an open-source Nintendo Switch emulator for Windows, derived from Yuzu and maintained by the community. You need the prod.keys file and the firmware from a Nintendo Switch, plus the game files.

Note: as a community project, features and menus change between versions; always check the version this page offers.

Requirements Eden on Windows

• 64-bit Windows 10 or 11.
• A graphics card with Vulkan support and up-to-date drivers.
• As a rough guide: a powerful multi-core CPU and 16 GB of RAM.
• prod.keys and firmware files from your console.
• Games in NSP or XCI format.

How to install it step by step

1. Download the file with the button on this page and extract it into its own folder.
2. Run Eden and install prod.keys from the Tools menu.
3. Install the firmware from the same menu.
4. Add your games folder by double-clicking the empty list.
5. Double-click a game to start it.

Recommended settings

• Graphics API: choose Vulkan.
• Resolution: start at native and raise it only if performance allows.
• Controller: set it up in Emulation > Configure > Controls.

Common problems

• Keys or firmware error: reinstall both and check they are the same version.
• Low performance: lower the resolution and close other programs.
• Unexpected crashes: update drivers, and try another Eden version.
