Download Ryujinx: Nintendo Switch Emulator for Windows

Ryujinx is an open-source Nintendo Switch emulator written in C# for Windows. You need the prod.keys file and the firmware from a Nintendo Switch, plus the game files.

Important: official Ryujinx development ended in October 2024. Community-maintained forks exist; check which build this page offers before installing it.

Requirements Ryujinx on Windows

• 64-bit Windows 10 or 11.
• A graphics card with Vulkan support and up-to-date drivers.
• As a rough guide: a multi-core CPU and 8 GB of RAM or more.
• prod.keys and firmware files from your console.
• Games in NSP, XCI, NCA or NRO format.

How to install it step by step

1. Download the file with the button on this page and extract it into its own folder.
2. Run Ryujinx.exe.
3. Open File > Open Ryujinx Folder and copy prod.keys into the system folder.
4. Install the firmware from Tools > Install Firmware.
5. Add your games folder in Options > Settings > General and double-click a game.

Recommended settings

• Graphics: in Options > Settings > Graphics keep Vulkan as the API.
• Controller: set it up in the Input tab of the settings.
• Shader cache: keep it enabled to reduce stutter.

Common problems

• Keys or firmware warning: reinstall both and check they are the same version.
• Crash on launch: update your graphics drivers.
• Stutter at the start: normal while shaders are generated.
