The King of Fighters EX: Neo Blood brings SNK's series to Game Boy Advance with team battles. Its story takes place between the Orochi Chapter and the Nests Chapter of the saga, and it introduces a new female fighter, Moe Habana.
Each team is made up of three fighters plus a fourth support member, the Striker.
Teams and Strikers: besides the three fighters, a fourth character acts as an assistant (Striker). According to one review, the roster has 18 characters, 2 bosses and 10 Strikers.
Game modes: Team, Single, Survival and Practice, plus two-player VS battles over the Link cable.
What to expect: reviews praise the roster and the visuals, but point to somewhat stiff controls. It also lacks voices and some of the animations of the console versions, and the game cannot be configured from the options or pause menu.
Developer: Playmore and Artoon.
Publisher: Sammy, in 2002.
Genre: 2D fighting. It was followed by a GBA sequel, The King of Fighters EX2: Howling Blood.
