Classic NES Series: Donkey Kong
1 Apr 26, 2026
The Classic NES Series: Donkey Kong GBA narrative presents us with the legendary clash where it all began. Donkey Kong has captured Pauline and retreated to the top of a construction site. Taking the role of Mario, you must navigate through a series of treacherous construction scaffolds, dodging everything from barrels to spring-loaded traps to reach the top and save your friend.
Gameplay stays faithful to the original 1981 arcade masterpiece. You must climb ladders and leap over obstacles while managing your positioning on the screen. Cooperation between your jumps and movement speed is core in surmounting the numerous obstacles found in all four classic stages. The portable format makes this high-score chasing experience more addictive than ever.
Hammer Timing: Don't grab the hammer too early; wait until multiple barrels are grouped together to maximize your score and clear a path.
Jump Buffering: In the GBA version, ensure you time your jumps slightly before reaching a barrel to avoid hitbox collisions at high speeds.
What a wonderful adventure Classic NES Series: Donkey Kong GBA is, exploring further into a realm of pure retro gaming magic. This fresh port will fascinate players who want to experience history in the palm of their hand. We are glad you chose GigaROM for your premium GBA ROMs!
